Synopsis
An encounter with María Koleva, independent director and writer of Bulgarian origin, living in France since 1972. Through her own words, the film reveals the poetic, militant and cinematographic universe of one of the figures of the Latin Quarter.

Director
Born in 1989 in Punta Arenas, Chile, Juan Francisco González studied film at EICTV in San Antonio de los Baños.
In 2012, he made documentaries for the site mafi.tv, and in the following years, he co-directed the documentaries ==Propaganda== (2014) and ==Dios== (2019), which were screened and awarded at the Visions du Réel festival. Juan Francisco has led practical workshops and artist residencies in various regions of Chile, Peru, and France. Since 2018, he has been a director and producer at DOCLA.
In 2019, he completed a documentary filmmaking workshop at Ateliers Varan, where he directed ==Maria K.==. The film was notably screened at Cinéma du Réel in 2020, where it received the Audience Award "Première Fenêtre." In 2022, Juan Francisco released the short film ==Fantasmagoría==, which was selected for several festivals around the world.
