Mourad Hallouche
Director
Mourad Hallouche was born in 1953 in Sebdou, Algeria. Between 1982 and 1989, he studied cinema at the University Paris-8 in Saint-Denis. In 1985, he participated in his first training in filmmaking at Ateliers Varan and directed "Bertheville-Ménilmontant". Then, in 1987, he got a Master's degree from the Polytechnical Institute of cinema arts at University Paris-8. In 1989, he participated in a second training at Ateliers Varan and directed "Faut qu'ça roule", a short documentary selected in many festivals which won multiple awards. Between 1992 and 1995, he directed two other documentaries including "Je n'ai jamais vu de marocaines à vélo" co-directed with Leïla Houari.
