During the 1990s, the workshops set up in Bucarest to register traditional culture, threatened by a process of rapid modernisation.
The programme
In 1993, on the initiative of the Ministry of Culture’s National Heritage Mission, a workshop was created with 12 young researchers, social science students and professionals from cultural organisations all over Romania. This workshop formed a Visual Anthropological Unit, able to register traditional culture, threatened by a process of rapid modernisation. Its members founded a permanent production unit “Cine 12 Workshop”.
