Synopsis
In a street in the Paris suburb of Bagnolet, Alex the scrap-metal merchant, piles up, breaks up, tangles and untangles, barters. Just about anything. In the same street, Robert and Monique open wide the doors of their Café du Pont. It becomes a haven of peace for Alex.

Mourad Hallouche
Director
Mourad Hallouche was born in 1953 in Sebdou, Algeria. Between 1982 and 1989, he studied cinema at the University Paris-8 in Saint-Denis. In 1985, he participated in his first training in filmmaking at Ateliers Varan and directed "Bertheville-Ménilmontant". Then, in 1987, he got a Master's degree from the Polytechnical Institute of cinema arts at University Paris-8. In 1989, he participated in a second training at Ateliers Varan and directed "Faut qu'ça roule", a short documentary selected in many festivals which won multiple awards. Between 1992 and 1995, he directed two other documentaries including "Je n'ai jamais vu de marocaines à vélo" co-directed with Leïla Houari.
